0309.12 IKS Ab'Qaff Klach D'Kel Brakt
Two pathetic examples of the Romulan military, the heavy cruisers Flame and Talon, ambushed the Ab'Qaff in the Klach D'Kel Brakt system. I ordered the battle group to proceed to Balduk to advise them of the Romulan incursion and to sweep the sector for more of these qaHom. The two Romulans made a good effort considering the state of their vessels. The Dk'tagh fighters and ECM Support Shuttles proved instrumental in overpowering the D'deridex Class warbirds. The Ab'Qaff sustained serious damage requiring a major refit before we can proceed on our mission to the Barzan system and through its wormhole.
This cowardly cloaked ambush in the legendary Klach D'Kel Brakt system is a concern to me. They would not have been waiting, cloaked, hoping to pounce upon an unwary ship. They knew that we were coming. So to what extent does the slithering snake of Romulus stretch into our Empire? My brother Krom will be launching soon, and he will, no doubt, find himself in a Romulan targeting reticle. I am of a mind to capture one of these Romulan ships, to add to our knowledge of these petaQ, and to draw them into the open.
I am told that a mobile shipyard has been dispatched from the K'Tinga system to repair the Ab'Qaff. It is due in two days.
